Fayetteville Country Club Wedding- Jack & Elizabeth

Weddings

May 24, 2019

Jack and Elizabeth wanted their wedding celebration to be quintessentially “them” incorporating all of the people and places that have been significant to them in their relationship. Since the couple dated and fell in love in Fayetteville, it seemed fitting that they would have an iconic Fayetteville wedding filled with details that are special to the two of them. They got married at St. Paul’s Episcopal, which is where Elizabeth grew up attending church. They had their reception at the Fayetteville Country Club where they enjoy golfing together. Each location they visited on their day was special to them and the development of their relationship. And of all the stops, our favorite was during their first look at Maxine’s Taproom. Maxine’s is where Jack and Elizabeth had their first day and where Jack later proposed to Elizabeth. To have their first look at the place where it all started was nothing short of perfect.

Jack and Elizabeth are both golfers, so having their reception at the Fayetteville Country Club was an easy decision for them. The two planned to honeymoon in Scotland and golf while there, so they gave each other putters as a wedding gift and naturally had to try them out before entering their reception. Elizabeth may or may not have the better short game in the relationship (the pictures don’t lie).

Elizabeth worked with Jessica Kersey to design a classic spring wedding reception with traditional blues and modern touches of marble. Each table was set with Elizabeth’s mother’s cobalt blue pottery and each place setting was accented with a blue ribbon and an olive branch. The florals were breathtaking, in true Flora Fayetteville fashion, and Elizabeth’s lilly of the valley bouquet was absolutely stunning. Rick’s Bakery incorporated both blue and marble onto the wedding cake The couple danced the night away to the KC All Stars before driving away in their getaway golf cart.
